Capturing Furry Moments: Photos from the 2022 Pittsburgh Pet Expo

I attended this pet lover’s paradise to capture the essence of local Pittsburgh furry pet residents and businesses at this year’s expo trade show.

The Pittsburgh Pet Expo is an annual event held in November at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Downtown Pittsburgh, PA. It is the largest consumer pet trade show on the East Coast! This pet centric event brings together pet owners, pet enthusiasts, and pet-related businesses to showcase products, services, and animals. There are activities all weekend long like product demonstrations, dog contests, bird shows, dog shows and pet adoptions!

The expo IS pet friendly so well behaved dogs, cats and birds are welcome to join their people in a night of shopping and mingling.

The Pittsburgh Pet Expo is not just a gathering for pet owners; it’s an interactive experience for everyone involved. From rows upon rows of booths with samples, educational workshops on pet care and behavior, to exciting agility competitions, there was something for everyone.

The Expo also plays a significant role in promoting animal welfare and rescue organizations. Numerous booths showcased adoptable pets, offering them a chance to find their forever homes. Lots of kitties and bunnies looking for their forever home! I couldn’t resist texting my friend who was looking for a kitten. She came straight to the event, submitted an application and ultimately adopted a little guy. Check him out, Little Geno! It was a testament to the impact events like these have on improving the lives of animals in need.

As a pet photographer, I was humbled to witness sweet moments that unfolded at this expo. The Pittsburgh Pet Expo is an experience worth attending, whether you’re a pet owner or animal lover alike. I’ll definitely be back next year! Dates are November 3-5th, 2023.
